8:01. That should do it. Polls are closed in Montana. Reporter Troy Carter is down at the Gallatin County Courthouse. We should have a first batch of numbers pretty soon.
Statewide preliminary results so far have Donald Trump with 70 percent of the GOP votes. Hillary Clinton stands at 51 percent to Bernie Sanders' 43 percent so far on the Democratic side.
No results out of Gallatin County so far.
Ditto for Madison and Park counties so far too.
Results coming in for Gallatin County
Ballots cast: 17,424. 8,696 for Democrats; 8,728 for Republicans.
So far, in the race to be the Democratic nominee for the Gallatin County Commission, Brian Leland leads Storm Shirley 5,161 to 1,778.
Tom Burnett is leading Mike Houghton by almost 500 votes (or 50 percent) in the Republican HD 67 race.
Bruce Grubbs leads Art Wittich and Mike Comstock in the HD 68 Republican race, but his margin is only 10 percent over nearest competitor Wittich.
Walt Sales has about twice the votes of Phil Olsen in the HD 69 GOP race.
Statewide voter turnout bubbles up to 9.32 percent, per SOS website.
Bullock has 91 percent of the governor votes on the Democratic side. Gianforte has 75 percent of the GOP side. Approximately 28,000 votes cast for each party so far.
Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are neck-and-neck for the Democratic nomination in Montana with 37,696 votes counted so far.
Of note, that Clinton/Sanders tally is with just 1 percent of precincts reporting statewide, according to SOS.
